Cliff farm bed and breakfast accommodation, Military Road, Iden Lock, Nr. Rye - Staying here is like taking a step back in time, its the old fashioned b/b - It has lots of atmosphere and ambience. The farmhouse is over 200 years old and is set in an elevated position with views over Romney Marsh. It is situated 2 miles east of Rye on the Military Road toward Appledore, turn left at the hanging milk churn.
We offer you comfort for your holiday whether you stay one night or one week. Rooms have uninterrupted views over Romney Marsh and the River Rother which flows in front of the house. We are ideally positioned as a centre for touring, walking, bird watching, free coarse fishing, or just a quiet restful holiday.
This year we have brought Cliff Farm into the 2lst century, we can now offer our three rooms with their own private facilities, one of which is en-suite. In putting in the extra shower-rms, we have done it in such a way so as not to spoil our lovely rooms. All the rooms are comfortably furnished , with central heating. Tea/coffee making facilities. Our guests have their own sitting room
in which there is a television, games, books. etc.
For your further comfort there is a guests sitting room with log fire and colour TV, the use of the patio in the front garden with lovely views over the Marsh. We serve a real farmhouse breakfast that will keep you going all day.
We are within touring distance of many places to visit, such as Rye, Hastings, Bexhill, Canterbury, Tunbridge Wells, Battle, Tenterden, Folkestone and Hythe. Specific places of interest; Bodiam Castle, Great Dixter House and Gardens, Camber Beach, Battle Abbey, Rye Town Model and Museum, Romney Marsh & Dymchurch railway, Scotney Castle, Leeds Castle and Canterbury Cathedral - to name but a few.
